New Owner Contract
Buyer and Seller agree to the following conditions as stated below. Seller represents that the puppy has no known disease or illness, and has no known congenital or hereditary conditions that would adversely affect the health of the pup at the time of sale or that is likely to adversely affect the health of the pup in the future. Seller is not responsible to buyer for payment of veterinarian fees for examinations, vaccinations, x-rays, or any other medical treatments for the pup in the future.
**Seller cannot, and does not, guarantee breeding abilities, size, or quality of show. This includes faults of any kind.
** Buyer understands that small puppies require EXTRA CARE and attention to remain healthy.
This puppy is not to be handled by small children or excessively by adults. You must have your new puppy seen by a licensed vet within 72 hours for their new puppy visit. Failure to do so voids this contract and renders it null and void. We know how much this new family member means to you, and that you will have your puppy checked in this time frame. Deworming and immunizations set forth by our veterinarian (see schedule below) will have been completed as shown. While it is generally recognized that intestinal parasites and ear mites are common in puppies, and part of a puppy’s early development, we will make every effort to prevent such parasites. Often, the stress of change and travel can cause intestinal parasites to emerge after the puppy has left its mother. Buyer agrees to continue de-parasitization testing and treatment (if necessary) with their veterinarian. De-worming and the puppy’s vaccinations will be administered at age 7 weeks of age. Buyer agrees to read all of the information provided by seller and to follow through with the instructions and/or your veterinarian’s instructions.
New owners agree to keep their puppy at home and away from other dogs, public places, parks and will use care in allowing others from outside their home to pet or touch the puppy until all immunizations are complete. This is to protect the puppy from exposure to parvovirus and other infectious illnesses. New owners will not enroll the puppy in obedience training classes until all immunizations are completed – usually at 16 to 20 weeks of age, according to the veterinarian’s schedule. This puppy is not to be left alone for long periods of time or left outside unattended. Buyer agrees not to do any extensive traveling with the pup unless it is to the veterinarian until fully vaccinated. If you choose to take your puppy places and the pup dies due to Parvo or any other contracted disease, the Peekapoo Pup-pups Kennel guarantee is null and void.
If at any time the buyer cannot maintain responsibility of said dog, buyer shall first offer the dog by phone, email or mail to seller. Buyer agrees that Seller may inquire about dog at any time.
By signing this document I am affirming that I have read it in entirety and agree to abide by its content.

Health Guarantee
We guarantee our puppies to be healthy at time of sale and for 24 hours after delivery. We insist that you have your puppy checked out by a Veterinarian on your choice within 72 hrs to validate this guarantee.
Should your vet find our puppy "unfit" for sale upon this initial examination, it will be replaced or a refund given (minus the deposit, though it is transferable to future litters) provided the puppy is returned with a written statement from the vet stating the nature of the illness. It is the purchaser's responsibility to return the puppy along with all registration papers. Your expenses incurred are yours alone. We do not guarantee our puppies against illness brought on by the stress of moving (from our house to yours), shipping, or motion sickness resulting from being transported. This stress can ignite illnesses such as hypoglycemia (sugar drop) or coccidia (dormant in most live animals). We also do not guarantee our animals to be "worm-free", as this is an on-going process that, once the animal is out of our control, would be the responsibility of the owner. Though we do make sure they have a deworming along with their shots, the continuity of treatment is necessary to ensure your puppy to be worm-free.
Raising a puppy is very similar to raising a child. We will not be responsible for the new owner’s "inability to respond" to the needs of their new puppy. Pay attention to your puppy at all times and never leave them outside unattended. This is your new baby. Act responsibly. If the puppy becomes ill and the owner has the puppy euthanized without our prior consent, no refund or replacement will be made. All of our puppies have completed their regimen of immunization to their age appropriate shot schedule at time of delivery. We assume no responsibility for any illness to other household pets resulting in being exposed to our puppies. The introduction of a new pet into the household is the responsibility of the owner.
We guarantee our animals to be sound with no disqualifying fault at time of sale. This guarantee shall become void if it is brought to our attention an animal purchased from us is/has been abused. We consider lack of proper housing, proper diet, or grooming to be forms of abuse. Should the purchaser decide to "change the diet" of one of our puppies, any resulting illness shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Should we discover one of our animals being abused, it will be surrendered with the buyer’s consent and any expense to bring the animal back to full health shall be the buyer’s responsibility. This stipulation is not negotiable. This limited health guarantee covers the cost of your dog only. We are not responsible for the associated charges, such as shipping, veterinarian fees, mental stress, low blood sugar, or internal or external parasites. This guarantee does not cover the following minor flaws or any condition that is minor and can be corrected by a veterinarian: hernias (of any kind) and testicles (not descending).
Please remember to take a fecal sample with you to the vet to eliminate any and all parasite possibilities.

When to spay/neuter: Generally this should be done when the puppy has reached at least 5-6 months for a female and 6-8 months for a male. The older the dog, the more able it will be to withstand the anesthesia. There is no need to wait for a female to have her first heat cycle before she is spayed. In fact, you can avoid the problems associated with estrus by spaying her before it occurs. There is also no need to wait for the male to become sexually mature.
Why spay/neuter: Fixing your dog prevents pregnancy and the birth of unwanted puppies. It avoids the need to restrain the dog during estrus. It keeps both sexes from roaming away from your house in search of a mate. It reduces the tendency of male dogs to urinate in the house, marking his territory. Licensing fees are also cheaper. Additionally, it avoids reproductive-related problems such as tumors, pyometra, false pregnancy, prostate infections, and old-age cancers.
Why should this dog be spayed/neutered? Any puppy sold as a pet should not be bred. This is simply for the improvement and maintenance of the breeding line. Dogs are eligible for a breeding program only if they are able to reproduce either their own quality or better quality in each successive generation. Breeding is not to be done casually nor is it a money-making venture. It is not a hobby and is very time consuming and energy demanding. By demanding that this pet-quality puppy be neutered/spayed, it avoids mass-production of puppies, controls the already overblown dog population, and improves the overall fitness of the line.
Given the proper amount of love and attention, nothing should prevent this puppy from becoming an excellent companion and family member.
